Your score is the number of questions you got right out of 50. On the real CCAT, Criteria reports an average of about 24. As a rough guide, 31 is around the 80th percentile and 35 is around the 90th. Our CCAT scoring guide has the full table.
Tips before you start
- Find a quiet spot and 15 minutes you will not be interrupted.
- Aim for about 18 seconds per question. If one is taking much longer, pick your best guess and move on.
- Keep scrap paper handy. The real CCAT does not allow a calculator, so practice without one.
- Answer every question, even if you have to guess. A wrong answer costs nothing.
Frequently asked questions
Is this CCAT practice test really free?
Yes. You can take all 50 questions, see your score and read every explanation without creating an account or giving an email address.
How long is the test?
15 minutes for 50 questions, the same format as the real CCAT. The timer starts when you press Start and the test submits itself when time runs out.
How is my score worked out?
Your score is the number of questions you answer correctly out of 50, the same way the real CCAT reports a raw score. Criteria publishes an average raw score of about 24 out of 50 for the real test. This is a practice test written by us, so use your result as a guide, not a prediction.
Do I see the answers?
Yes. When you finish, every question is shown with the correct answer and a worked explanation, so you can see where you lost time or marks.
Can I use a calculator?
Not on the real CCAT, so practice without one. Do the arithmetic in your head or on scrap paper. The math questions here are written to be solved that way.
Is this the official CCAT?
No. It is an independent practice test written by our team. CCAT is a trademark of Criteria Corp, and CCAT Tests is not affiliated with Criteria Corp.
